Arlo Cams coming in few weeks

It’s all on SmartThings and their “fixation” - see last response on the bottom (received yesterday June 13th) !!!

@SBDOBRESCU so how I read this it is basically a big P.F.O. from the .

Well, Arlo may have had good intentions, but as @Tyler said, integration is planned for this year. With the delays due to platform stability, I expect the announcement to come some time before December 31st 2017. Meanwhile, I am glad that Arlo has an IFTTT channel.

We’re actively testing the Arlo integration right now. It’s true that we don’t have any announcements - but that doesn’t mean we’re not getting close!

Very long “few weeks”

Indeed.
I would be really happy to get an official integration. At least changing modes on Arlo from SHM.
I am using an unofficial Arlotron integration with some custom tweaks right now and was happy until last week. My Arlo hub started to drop cams into offline mode after Arlotron switches modes. Have to reboot hub all the time.
I was thinking to switch to ST->IFTTT->Arlo, but ST doesn’t have any Mode or SHM(Armed/Disarmed) triggers. Boo.
The only workaround is to add Virtual switches for modes etc. Sucks.

So official integration will be very very welcomed.

We are waiting for the big bosses to be satisfied with the stability progress so they can give the green light on launching new products. Did I get that right @alex ? Please let Arlo go. The handler looks great we just need access to the connect app…

No movement in this?

Lots of movement on this actually! My desk is drowning in Arlo cameras these days.

This integration is in the final stages of testing. This is the first type of this integration for both SmartThings and Arlo, so it’s taken an incredible amount of work on both sides to make this a reality.

When released, you’ll be able to add your Arlo Wireless cameras to your SmartThings system as Smart Home Monitor ready video cameras.

I have to stop short of providing a release date but it shouldn’t be too long now.

Excellent. Looking forward to it!
Thanks

That’s what I like to hear! C’mon beat Comcast on announcement. lol Thanks for the update…

This doesn’t negate the need for the Arlo base station, correct?

Correct. You’ll still need the Arlo base station.

Now that the ice was broken by Skybell’s release, is it time for Arlo, yet?

@Tyler
Will this integration be just the original Arlo’s or include the Arlo Q’s as well? Any update on the release? (Had to ask)

The integration is for the wireless Arlo cameras. We have a round of production testing starting next week and then we should be in a good place to release.
