Hi all. I’ve just had a new Ariston water heater fitted. It uses the Ariston Net which i WAS hoping would integrate with ST. It doesn’t appear to although it does work with Google home and Alexa. Has anyone managed to get it working with ST? TIA
Since it would be a cloud to cloud integration, you should reach out to Ariston. Cloud to cloud integrations are owned and maintained by the companies of those products.
Yes i was hoping that there would be something. The Ariston Net app isn’t very good - limited functionality with Alexa and Google. No other services can interact with it. The apps own alerting doesn’t seem to work either. I need a way of being warned if the boiler switches on while I’m away and currently there is no way. Should have maybe done more research before purchase.
Their website says Ariston works with Google, Alexa and Apple Homekit. What phone do you have and do you have any of those companies hubs? It would allow creation of automations and better control.
There are various solutions to integrate with Home Assistant which you can google.
I have numerous Alexas and i have Google Home on my android phone. Both are configured to work with the boiler. Neither allows you to trigger an automation using the boiler. Basically you can turn the boiler on and off, request temperature info, set temperature and boost the heating. That’s it.
