Or its because they pulled ALL their stock to put in all the Whole Foods across the country…

My housemate went to whole foods last night and said they had a display with at least 50 Echoes, at the sale price.
So for right now, my guess is the stock is sitting in brick-and-mortar locations. But it would make sense if they come out with a new model for the holidays since the Apple HomePod is supposed to launch then. 
So maybe a combination of both reasons.
