The new smartthings app was sent out 7 days ago. When it updated, Alexa stopped seeing smartthings. Alexa just says that the light is not responding. I’ve deleted and reinstalled both the alexa app and smartthings twice. I tried contacting smartthings, but they have been no help. Is there anyone else having this issue and how did you fix it… I’m so frustrated I’m thinking about shit canning smartthings. HELP!!!
You might try disabling the SmartThings skill in the Alexa app and then re-enable it.

That was the first thing I did. Both apps have been reinstalled.
