I just bought an Echo Dot and a Samsung HW-Q990F soundbar. I’ve installed SmartThings on my iPhone and added the soundbar. I also enabled the SmartThings hub on the soundbar, and on the soundbar under services, Alexa settings I have linked to my amazon account and clicked “Link to Amazon Alexa”. This opens the Alexa app. In the Alexa app I have added the skills for “Samsung Wireless audio” and SmartThings. At this point Alexa discovers my Samsung TV and Samsung Soundbar. I completed their setup and added them to a group “Lounge”. If I go to that group I see the TV and the sound bar and can control them - turn them off, on etc. If I select “Choose Speakers” the only device listed is the Echo Dot. Thus I can’t ask Alexa to play music through my Soundbar. I can’t see what I’ve missed, as the soundbar is there in the group and I can control it with Alexa. I just can’t play music to it. My network is 2.4GHz only 5GHz is disabled.
