So, I managed to get this working (thank you so much to those that have worked on the code for this!).
One issue so far is that I can only get this to work in the original Smartthings app (which Samsung are now referring to as āSmartthings Classicā). In the new Samsung Connect app, the device shows up but I can find no way to actually activate the unlock command.
In the classic app I did it by creating a new āautomationā, used the āunlock a doorā option, and chose the Popp actuator. In the Samsung Connect app, I canāt do the same thing. Does it require the writing of a SmartApp?

At the present time, the new app does not allow you to automate any unlock function. For any lock. You can only do it manually on the things list. Hopefully they will change that eventually, but itās just not there now.

I am not an expert on device handlers but can occasionally hack stuff.
I am trying to figure out if it is possible to update johndoyleās handler to have a longer timeout?
Currently I am limited to seconds.
I have the relay wired into my gate intercom similar to fuutt and I would like to be able to keep my gates open for a longer period of time, or even have a sort of toggle function where I would have to press a button again to allow gate to close.

Did someone manage to get the device work stable on battery? I am using fuuttās device handler. First of all when it works, it operates with a great delay. Second, it appears that it always receives commands as the led starts blinking, but sometimes the relay doesnāt click. The led blinks but the relay does not activate. I wonder what might be the problemā¦
I was debugging some things in the device handler and i saw that there is a timeout in minutes configuration parameter. Iāve tied it to an input field so you could try and change it. You should be able to set timeout up to a few hours now. Try it:

I just installed the Popp Strike Lock Control POPE012501 to my electronic lock. The lock is a Assa Abloy El 580. IĀ“m using hassio and a z stick gen5. The Popp Strike Lock Control is connected to 12v power suply. Everything started fine and i could send an unlock comand via the open zwave control panel, changing the BASIC Set command value to 255. But then sudenly out of the blue it started to blink constantly and just stopped workingā¦ Pleace help me!
is there any alternative to POPE012501? itās quite expensive ā¦
