Tuya ZigBee 3.0 LED Dimming Controller 1-10 Volts?

Can anyone confirm that the product in the title works with SmartThings? I have a buddy that’s needing this.

Almost impossible to confirm tuya devices until they have been added to a SmartThings account and you check the fingerprint. You can’t go just by the outer case or the model number, even if it’s from the same supplier that someone else has used.

FAQ: Using Tuya Zigbee Devices Directly With a SmartThings/Aeotec Hub (2024)

Also, personally, I prefer to use devices with good safety certifications when they will be wired directly into the mains, even for low-voltage. That’s not Tuya. But I know other people feel differently. :man_shrugging:t2:

I just didn’t know if someone else had already used it and could confirm that it does work. I guess the other question is, does anyone know of something similar that they can confirm does work?

Do you know if your friend needs a “current sinking” device or a “current sourcing” device? It will depend on the other hardware involved.

I know that in the past community members have used the following 0-10v dimmer when they wanted something that was UL certified, and that prior to 2023 it worked out of the box with no custom code on the old architecture. I don’t know for sure that it works with the new stock edge driver, though.

Obviously, it’s more expensive than the Tuya models, but in terms of fire and safety circuitry sometimes you get what you pay for.

You can see from the Amazon reviews that a couple of people have reported that it worked well with SmartThings in the past. I just don’t know about the current situation.

It’s also available in a higher load model, depending on what you’re trying to switch

100% in agreement. Just try to file a fire claim with your insurance carrier and the resulting investigation finds a sub-par device started the fire: DENIED!

Cheaper isn’t always better. Err on the side of safety: the certification agencies exist for a valid reason…

JMO, of course!
