I’ve read questions about ST as a secondary handler to Qolsys IQ, but I’d like to know if I can us my IQ panel for all my alarm sensors, and ST for my lights…separately but on the same wifi network? I’m ok with by panel controlling all security functions, and ST lights… and I don’t mind having two separate apps but can anyone tell me if this is possible? Would I exclude all lights and locks on the IQ panel and pair with ST? Are there any drawbacks to this that anyone can think of? I guess I could add a motion sensor to trigger my lights on ST and that would have mostly the same effect as the IQ panel triggering lights when the alarm is tripped?
It’s a vacation home and I want to continue to be able to turn lights on and off nightly.
