Sonoff wifi plug outlet compatibility with smartthings hub v3

Hello,

Can anyone confirm or deny for me if this: https://uae.souq.com/ae-en/wifi-smart-plug-outlet-switch-timer-power-socket-compatible-with-wireless-smartphone-app-remote-control-turn-on-off-switch-led-indicator-for-home-appliances-uk-plug-33423600/i/ can connect to the smartthings hub v3? It says it is compatibile with IFTTT, but not sure how much I can rely on that?

Thanks

No Sonoff device is natively compatible with SmartThings. You need to use one of the various DTHs available. My personal favorite right now is the Sonoff DTH ([RELEASE] Sonoff, Sonoff TH, S20, Dual, 4CH, POW, & Touch Device Handler & SmartApp ($5 & $10 Smart Switches)). If you are running Tasmota on your Sonoff (because why WOULDN’T one run Tasmota?!) I use https://github.com/BrettSheleski/SmartThingsPublic/tree/master/devicetypes/brettsheleski/sonoff-tasmota.src.

Now, if you DO stick with Ewelink, then yes, IFTTT integration will allow you to do various things with your Sonoff. But, why go cloud when the whole point of getting the Sonoff is to flash it to run locally?

I see, that makes things complicated.

Any idea about the Osram smart plugs? This on in particular: https://www.amazon.de/Osram-schaltbare-fernbedienbar-Lichtsteuerung-kompatibel/dp/B074PZLX2P/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1542639961&sr=8-2&keywords=smartthings

To be honest, I’m not 100% certain those will either.

You should check out : FAQ: All in one place--is there a single comprehensive list of all Devices that work with SmartThings?

There’s not a true, comprehensive list of what works with ST and what doesn’t, but that should point you in the right direction.
