Also, once someone answers then the feed is gone. Meaning, I am away from home and someone e is at the door…One of my Shows answers leaving me without the ability to answer remotely…
What if I am ignoring the door? Darn things auto answers when I just wanted to be left along!
Yep, choice is good. Maybe they will add that “option” in the future but I would not vote yes for auto answer without there being a slew of “what-if” scenarios built in. That’s why I don’t use the Apps notifications. I only want to be notified that there is motion at the door when certain criteria is met.
This is where ST shines! Using webCoRE, I eliminate 90 percent of the notifications and they only come when it matters.
Nest Hello has this option for both Echo and Google Nest devices with screens. Personally I choose Nest Hello because it had person detection built-in with no subscription needed.
Are you sure about that? I remember once both my wife and I were viewing the same doorbell feed live on different phones. I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t recall if we both answered a doorbell press, a motion detection, or just requested to go live. Maybe it was a fluke?
