Potential false positives from my ST motion sensor

I’m new to ST but started getting false alarms on my sensor at 88% also. It permanently shows motion when there is none. These look faulty to me.

Battery at 88% is fairly normal for new devices.

The stuck on motion is not. Try pulling the battery and see if that fixes it.

Thank you. I pulled the battery today. I’ll a real how that pans out. I see a few people had this issue. Do you know if this is a software issue, or a hardware problem?

Best guess is a network congestion issue. ZIgbee uses the same frequency (2.4 ghz) as bluetooth and wifi. Sometimes it losses connection to hub because of too much noise.

Make sure you ST hub is not right next to your wifi router. I have a few that drop off every now and then, started to add Iris outlets to act as repeaters. Been better lately, think they may have improved reconnect logic.

Just keep an eye on it.

That’s normal for that device. It uses “tier reporting,” and 88 is the first level below 100.
