Also - I absolutely love the new pressure and humidity icons - well done!
[OBSOLETE] Original & Aqara Xiaomi Zigbee Sensors (contact, temp, motion, button, outlet, leak, etc)
Great stuff thank you Keith the new icons are much more explanatory, like i said i am a total novice at code, that said the colours for Celcius defo needed a change so what i have done is take a look at the weather tile 2.0 colour set, i have a bit more testing to do but i have taken the colour set from that and added them to your DH
i am going to let the Aqara warm up now for a few hours and see how it looks but as i had no issues with temp to colour in weather tile 2.0 i am not expecting issues, interestingly ish they are also in F values as the temp scale goes from 32 to 98
This is how my colour looks at the moment
backgroundColors:[
[value: 32, color: ā#153591ā],
[value: 44, color: ā#1e9cbbā],
[value: 59, color: ā#90d2a7ā],
[value: 74, color: ā#44b621ā],
[value: 84, color: ā#f1d801ā],
[value: 92, color: ā#d04e00ā],
[value: 98, color: ā#bc2323ā]
OK since you donāt have the time to install, I will take them. Ha, Ha
loving āman drawerā!
So I finally got a Temp/Humidity sensor in. Felt like it took a month to get here. I have it paired and the DH set. But I am getting zero reading from it. Nothing. Iāve tried to combo through the several topics and postā¦but Iām stuck. Any ideas?
Do you have your timezone set on the hub?
Yup. Central Time
Has to be something to do with the paring. I deleted and was going to reinstall, but now its not even showing the catchall message in my logs, as im trying repair
Hold the button for 10 seconds so it resets.
Done that. This little thing is such a pain to pair! Going to just keep trying to pair i guess. Maybe by next week iāll have it. Lesson learned, once its paired, donāt deleted it.
Itās the round Temp/Humidity sensor, right? Did you pair it using the ācatchallā method?
SmartThings will let you add a new device with an incorrect Device Network Id, so itās possible you used the wrong set of hexadecimal characters for that Id. The only way to know is to see a screenshot of that catchall log entry from the Hubās Events list page.
Yeah its the round one. I was going to post a screen shot of the catchall entry, but never could get it to populate again after deleting the device. Im gonna give it another shot this afternoon/evening.
Hi foz - my canned smoke arrived, and on testing the detector both app notification (and alarm) went off without a hitch!
Iāve been sitting here an hour and I canāt get this thing to pair. At all. Canāt get a catchall message in the logs. Iāve turned off my hue bridge and bulbs and All my other Zigbee bulbs. Only thing I havenāt done is pull the batteries from my SmartThings motion sensors and multi-purpose sensors. Anyone have any idea what Iām doing wrong??
I have ST searching for devises, good the button on the top until I get 3 long blinks then I release. Once I release I get either one long blink or 3 short blinks. Itās random and varies. Never shows up in the ST app as a āthingā. Or at all. And I donāt get any catchall in the logs.
Ok. So Iāve finally got the catchall messageā¦BUT Iām not getting the zbjoin messageā¦gonna be a fun night
If you get the catchall install it using that. There are instructions for that.
if you havent got it paired yet, do a 10 second push to reset, take battery out and have a glass of beer/water/whisky whatever and dont spend more than 10 minutes trying to pair a sensor. Maybe a good idea to do hub reset by taking batteries out of it too.
What kind of Hub are you using?
Are you able to pair the sensor with a xiaomi hub to check it actually still works?
I have a question about Aqara motion sensor, please.
As far as I know, it has a lux sensor but only triggered when thereās motion, is that right? So I canāt use it to monitor the light density real time, right? And can I use it to trigger some event like: when thereās motion and the lux is below 5, turn on the light?
Iām going to buy some of them soon so I really appreciate the help :). Thank you !
Thatās correct.
You could but Iām not sure if this will give too much of a delay.
I bought a Fibaro motion/lux/temp sensor that I put in a place where there is no light pollution from house lights and use that for lux readings. There are some cheaper ones out there.
EDIT. Looking at the recently tab and invoking motion, motion and lux report straight after each other so it may be OK to use it the way you want.
