Sorry to bother you. The device type is working fine! Is there a way to change motion detection when I change mode to Away?
Absolutely, under your âgoodbyeâ routine you can have it turn the camera âonâ, it should show up as a switch. Turning it on will turn on motion detection, turning it off will disable the motion detection. Just make sure to also add it to your âIâm backâ routine to turn it off!
Thanks a lot! Itâs working perfectly⌠Cheers
The DTH has been updated to add a new UI and in-app video streaming!
Also, this DTH is set up for GitHub - IDE integration
##DCS-5020L DeviceType is Obsolete, Please use the following SmartApp instead:
Hello,
I just got my smartthings hub yestuday and was hoping that my dcs-5010L would work for integrating the arrival feature into my first ever automation. I followed your instructions and im a bit lost as to what happens after I add my camera. I added my camera and it shows as there in âExisting Cameraâsâ of the d-link Camera Manager. When I open that it just brings me to the configuration page of the camera. Where would I go to see the live video? Or somehow make sure that its setup correctly?
I tried to setup a new routine to tun on a light âwhen things start happeningâ or several other catagories but all of those activities say âThere are not devices of this capabilityâ. So perhaps I missed something in the write up/instructions or im so new to this that the basic concepts are not there yet.
Thanks so much,
Tim
Hopefully youâre using the D-Link Camera Manager and not this Devicetype (which has been depreciated). If you add the camera using the D-Link Camera Manager then the camera will show up in your âThingsâ view.
I must be doing something wrong since i thought i was using the latest but not seeing it in the my things page. Not sure if this reply will show images but ill try to share what im seeing in my app. I really appreciate any advice in getting this working.
Im not seeing it in the âmy homeâ > âthingsâ page. Ill do some more research and see where Iâm clearly missing something.
