Do what you will Brian, but I love Big Talker.
Wouldnât it be nice to hear Alexaâs voice on your house speakers? Maybe even have her play some prime music or tell you the laundry is done, unprompted?
I was trying to figure out how to get Alexa to Announce things, and maybe play some Amazon Prime under SmartThings control. The idea came to me while watching X-MEN 2. That scene where Stryker is whispering in Jasonâs earâŚ

OkâŚI normally connect Big Talker/VLC thing to my speakers.
So what I did instead is put a headset on my Echo. Big Talker/VLC thing whispers into Alexaâs ear.
âAlexa, Play Bachâ or
âAlexa, Simon Says, I finished doing the wash, would you like me to move the cloths to the dryer?â. or
âAlexa, Play barking puppiesâ when the doorbell rings. or
âAlexa, Simon Says, You are safe and secure.â When the doorâŚ
I never really like doing what everybody else was doingâŚso switching will be hard for me. Maybe not technologically, but perhaps psychologically.
