The device uses a spectrum of 1-254 for Hue. And the Random hue feature uses all of that spectrum. For simplicity’s sake, the DTH uses ranges within that spectrim to categorize and report colors. For instance, the DTH might show the color “red” for a hue of 1-5.

We never actually decided what to use for a power supply or how to go about it. There is some good discussion there you might find interesting or helpful.
