Yes, it’s when I’m actuating the physical switch. I would imagine it’s the double tap logic then. It does make sense.

You may be able to disable that delay with parameter 9.

It looks identical to the Zooz 72.
Same certification number. I’m sure the firmware is different between the two models but they look sourced from the same place.
So, reporting back.
Bought the Aeotec.
Really happy with it. HOWEVER, the electrician managed to break it. 
APPARENTLY, if you tap the ON button 5 times, it puts in programming mode, and the first setting to change is… LOCAL Control. Means it will only be controlled via zWave, the local switch is disabled.
Quick call to techsupport, and 20 minutes later I had a document on how to program it via the local switch paddle, and everything was fine again.
I did mention that they may want to make programming mode harder to get into. (GE"s Up/Down/Up/Down/Up/Down seems pretty hard to get accidentially, but Aeotec’s up 5 times, well, the impatient electrician hit it on the first try)
Not sure if Zooz’s firmware has the same programming mode.

Zooz new 7-series might be different but the only thing you can program via the paddle on Zen26 and Zen27 is the locator LED.
