I want a contact closure when local weather reports below 40°F - 35°F

I’m a happy SmartThings owner and I’m not sure if what I’m looking for would even require the use of my SmartThings hub. I want to protect something from freezing but the controls are inside the house, I’m looking for something that could be connected to the Internet and turn on an outlet, or give me a contact closure when the weather bureau reports a certain temperature or colder.

My irrigation system actually does this, but that doesn’t help my current problem. Because there’s no way to get that information outside of the irrigation controller.

Thank you for any ideas.

You can create a device in IDE called SmartWeather Station Tile and it’ll contain your local weather. From there, you can use the information provided in your Automations to control your devices.
