Graph-na02-useast1.api.smartthings.com?

#1

Why do I have an account for graph-na02-useast1.api.smartthings.com work, but not for graph.api.smartthings.com?

I’ve been accessing my IDE from the first address, not the ‘default’ one. Is that okay?

Various worldwide regions use different addresses (database shards).

You can log in and use other shards but anything you do will not show in your location (your hub).

To be sure you’re using the correct shard:

Immediately after logging into the IDE (any shard address), go to locations and click on the name of your hub. This will push you into the correct shard. If it asks you to log in again you were on the wrong shard.

They are different servers or “Shards”. If you have an older hub you are on the graph.api.smartthings.com shard, if you have a newer hub you are on the graph-na02-useast1.api.smartthings.com shard. The UK also has their own shard. In order to access your home and hub you need to use the URL which your hub is registered to.
