Introducing the SmartThings developer campaign, Open. The simple message is focused on the core value of SmartThings, the Open Platform. You might recognize the graphical arrows to the left and right. They are the icons in the mobile app for the open/closed sensor. The campaign drives the message to developers and the wider community of users that SmartThings is Open; reason enough to choose SmartThings over any other intelligent living platform.

I really like Emily’s OPEN design for several reasons.
- It’s readable from a distance.
- It emphasizes one of ST’s competitive advantages. You want the conversation to be naturally about ST features.
- It makes the logo integral to the design
- It has an in-joke factor, one of the only things that will get someone to wear a shirt who isn’t already a hard-code brand fan
- It works well for people who are color-blind (a high percentage of coders, statistically)
- It works better for ST than for just generic home automation (or for that matter, competitors), a real plus.
I also agree with @mager that using the standard ST colored logo for the O would make it even stronger, while still keeping the advantages.

I’ve got to admit that that I’m still drawn to the Adams family “thing” design by @gtc100. It has a wittiness about it that the other shirts don’t quite have. The design would need a little refinement but. I never had thought about the fact that the Adams Family had a thing long before computers and the internet.
I like the Thing design as well, and I agree it’s very clever. But licensing the Thing image would be about $50,000. Seems out of budget for a giveaway T Shirt, but maybe.
If they did go with it, I would add the SmartThings logo on the gramophone.

My names Kyle, im new to the community but not to home automation, smart home, etc etc . . . Graphic designer & Nightclub Promoter by trade and my hobby is literally anything home automated.
Ive put together about 10 Concept packs looking at this from several angles & styles (sorry i got a little carried away as i get a bit passionate at times haha) i hope you like them ill upload them as quick as i can . . however i need to post twice before im allowed to upload pictures.

Thanks to everyone for your t-shirt designs! We are impressed with your creativity. @April, @Ben, and I had a tough time deciding who should win.
We will reach out to you individually to tweak some of the designs to be in accordance with our style guidelines and then print the top 3 shirts. Some of your slogans are being considered for future stickers too.
Everyone who participated will get a shirt as well as a special badge on this forum, TBD by @Ben.
The winners will be announced later this week, keep an eye on this thread!
