Converting a Door/Window sensor into an button

Good day.

I was wondering if anyone has the knowledge where i want to convert my “Thing”

which can be hard wired to other sensors, to act as a button? When i change the Type on the to a button, it (now acts as a simple z-wave Door/Window sensor) does not register any activity. (Magnet or when i press the button) but when the profile is back to sensor it works perfect.
