I wanted to revisit this thread and see if the GE/Jasco switch was still the cheapest in-wall switch. Has anyone found anything for a better price?
Dragontech is a relatively new low-end line which thatās been getting good reviews. Seems to be pretty well engineered, and is often sold in multi packs which price it below the GE.

Most of the reputable zwave retailers are carrying it. Shop around because prices do vary, and, as always, my advice is to only buy from retailers with a good return policy.
You donāt get instant status update with these (but then you donāt get it with the GE switches either).
I think itās worth a look. Other than that, I havenāt seen any new players in low end switches that seem worth considering.
Personally, I go the other direction. With electrical items I pay a lot of attention to the length of the warranty, because it generally Reflects the quality of the engineering. But some people care more about the initial cost. Itās a personal decision.
Thanks, I hadnāt heard of these guys before. Price on zwaveproducts.com and amazon seem to have them about the same as the GE switched as Lowes or online, so for now I will pass for the reliable GE switches that I have already tried. I imagine these will continue to drop in price as competition increases.
