Hello, New user switching over from Vera. Go most everything back up except my Hub. I’ve installed the app, signed in and the hub is found. I select my hub, click next and nothing happens. I’m pushed back to the last screen. Under “things” I can see the hub and it will show me the current activity, but that’s it. IS this normal? Do you not get any control of activities and/or devices. Maybe I;m expecting too much. Thanks

Turn Off Harmony Hub Not Harmony Activities In Routine

I’m looking to turn off the Harmony Hub in a Routine - like Goodbye. Right now, The routine says: Turn off all the lights, then turn off Listen To the Radio, then turn off Watch TV, then turn off Watch Apple TV, then Turn off Watch Chromecast; then turn off Watch DVD, then … you get the idea. It takes about 100 years for that to cycle through. It’s actually faster and easier to just manually turn off the the current activity and the lights that happen to be on. But what’s the point of automating if I have to use my fingers like a sucker? I have set a virtual momentary button which turns off the current Harmony Hub Activity. That works fine. But I can’t integrated a momentary button into a ST Routine. Am I missing something? thanks,

Instant status updates for Harmony activity switches in ST

I’ve seen lots of complaints about how long the Harmony switches in ST take to update when using the physical remote to turn stuff on or off. Just found a really simple way to get instant state updates. Go back and add all of the ST switches to your Harmony hub as Home Control devices, then turn each corresponding one on when your activity starts and back off when it ends. Bam, instant Harmony status updates. Step by step below. This starts with the assumption that you’ve already added your Harmony hub(s) to SmartThings. Open the Harmony app on your phone (as far as I’m aware, the phone app is the only way to add/edit Home Control devices) If you have multiple hubs, connect to your target hub. These steps have to be repeated for each hub. Add your SmartThings switches to Harmony…
