Roomba died, so it got the boot, but I had them side by side for a few months. I knew the Roomba batteries were on their way out, the brush just kept giving me trouble, and I got a great deal on a refurb Neato.
From the reviews Iām seen, the Neato D85 and the Connected seems superior than the Roomba especially with the laser sensors instead of bumper car of the old roomba and camera of the new ones that doesnāt work in the dark⦠iām just waiting for a sale to pick up a Connected for myself.
When are we going to get the stair climbing robots? My Roombas do a great job of keep the floors clean but my cat that generates most of the pet hair loves sitting on the stairs so I still have to do those manually.
stick a lint roller to the bottom of your cat and have him walk up and down the stairs?
Incase anyone is interested. Itās been a few months with the Samsung Robot Vacuumā¦
I donāt think I can live without it. Iām amazed how much it can clean on its lowest suction setting.
My first floor is all hardwood floors. I can do about 1,200 sqft on a single charge these days. I donāt know if they have changed something with an update, I used to get 700-800 sqft.
Which model do you have?
So finally gave in a got a āstarterā robot vac a roomba 650 for $274, will see how this goes.
Edit: and two hours later I see that this is available at loweās also where I can use a coupon! grrrr decisionsā¦
I currently own the Roomba 980 and have previously had Roomba 650, 770 and bObsweep. Iāve also had slight interactions with Neato Botvac D85.
I can say that Iām pretty experienced in this field. For starters, thereās no better robotic vacuum than the Roomba 980. It has the best navigation system, vacuuming power and AI.
If you want to completely eliminate the chore of vacuuming and floor cleaning, you must consider purchasing this incredible model.
our cheaper than cheap no-brand vac finally gave up the ghost after about four years good service so iām in the market for a new one. Something with SmartThings or IFTTT integration would be superb as it can use the presence sensors as a cue to clean up when the house is empty.
I dont want to pay the premium of the Samsung or Dyson cleaner (although Iād love the latter), so can anyone make any recommendations?
I was all about automation the first time I was looking for a robot vac but after a few months of use of our base model roomba, I am now convinced I donāt need the scheduling features because thereās always going to be (or a good chance) something on the floor that will trap the robot. This is more likely to happen if there are more than 2 people in the household and only goes higher if there are kids in the house.
Itās been a good investment and my wife is happy that I took on the vacuuming chore haha
Iām using an iLife A4 and a Broadlink RM Pro with beckyrichaās custom DH and the RM Bridge app to start the vacuum when my wife and I leave for work. It works well.
This is even factoring in the Xiaomi, which has essentially the same pathing?
I have the Xiaomi one. It works. The SLAM algorithm is the best available. Do read this review and get back to me for any specific questions.
Long story short: Taking the price into consideration it is the BEST robotic vacuum ever built. Not taking the price into consideration it is among the three best robotic vacuums.
I have the iLife A6 (which is amazing IMO) and doing a similar setup with Harmony to send the IR commands.
I have an iLive v3, have it programmed to my Harmony to get rid of the extra remote but itās charging station is not in sight of the hub so havenāt been able to automate. How is yours set up?
My wife loves the v3 btw (we named it Bob). I wasnāt ready to spend $500+ on a vacuum, and for the $170 price tag, the v3 is awesome. Definitely not as smart as the top models but it does a good job keeping up with the dog hair and dirt they drag in on our tile floors.
i love my Dyson 360 Eye, works a treat. is there anyway i can connect this to ST?
I have not heard any talk of this working with ST.
No doubt, robot vacuums are the best one which makes you sit without worrying about OMG Cleaning home. All you have to do is set it and forget about the cleaning.
There are so many best robot vacuums available from top brands. But for every starter Roomba is the best choice I want them to go for.
I canāt open up about it performance here. But there is a review which helps you out.
Roomba is from Irobot the veteran company, so itās completely a risk free product. And always the best for lazy guys including meā¦
Iām using roomba 880, and with tattu roomba replacement battery, can last for about 2 hours.
I recently added 3 Deebot N79ās to my house. Almost zero smarts to these things. They seem to just vacuum in random directions until they run out of battery (usually around 3 HOURS!) For how stupid they are, I am very happy with them. I moved my two Samsung vacuums to my upstairs where it is mostly carpet.
