I’m new to smartthings and was coming from Vivint. I have this door sensor. Were you able to connect it or is this incompatible with SmartThings?
No, these sensors run on 900Mhz, but it’s a proprietary protocol, not Z-Wave. The 2GIG alarm panels do have a separate Z-Wave radio in them though, so it can directly control a Z-Wave device.
The Vivant(mine is unlocked) or 2gig panels can be added as a secondary controller with limited functionality as well. I’m tempted to put my Yale lock back onto my Alarm panel just because of the monitoring/cell/battery backup and independence from my internet connection.
