Announce "Garage Door" on Multiple Echo Devices?

I know this is probably not the right place to ask but maybe somebody can point me in the right direction.
I have my smart home set up to trigger an Echo Dot to Say “Garage Door” when the door is opened. It works fine but as far as I can tell the Alexa Routine that does this can only “say” that on one device. I would like to have it said on all three of my devices. I created an Alexa group but the group does not show up as and option, only individual devices and only one can be selected.

You can do it using the “announcements” option in the Alexa app.

When you go to create your routine, choose “messaging“ for the Action.

Then choose “Send announcement“

This will bring up a list of all your echo devices and you can select however many you want to speak the announcement. :sunglasses:

Thanks. Makes sense. I will give that a try.

Worked with limits. Your suggestion worked for my two Echo Dots. My Bose Speaker with Alexa and my phone do not appear and also do not get included when I select all devices. When using the old routines I could select those two devices. To make that work I had to have 4 routines all triggered by the garage door. Now I only have three as the Announcement covers two devices. Awkward but it works.

Correct, only actual Echo devices are authorized to make announcements at this time.
