A way to get ST to get PC to restart?

I used GhostEvent when Groovy was still working to do things on my computer with switches in ST.
Is there a way to say if I turn on a switch, restart my computer?
I need a way for ST to interact with my PC somehow to run commands.

I mean, set BIOS/UEFI to power on after power state lost, and use a controlled switch?

I’d rather not do a hard shutdown like that. No good for the PC to keep doing that.

Do you just need WOL (wake on LAN)?

If so, do you have a SmartThings/Aeotec hub, and if so, which one?

If you do have a hub that can run edge drivers, @taustin may have something that will work for you.

If you don’t, it will get more complicated.

I have ST hub v2. WOL will just wake up the PC. I need to be able to run a restart command on the PC but turn on a switch or something

Isn’t there an MQTT plug-in for ghostevent? If so, you could use that for at least some events. Again, @taustin has an MQTT integration project that might help.

You can use the TRIGGERcmd Smart Home, Alexa skill to do things like shut your computer down, hibernate, sleep, restart, etc. They you would use SmartThings virtual switches with integral contact sensors to trigger the Alexa routines. Looks like Google Assistant can also be used.

You would still need @TAustin WOL driver to turn your computer on.
