David Michael VanderWekke, Accomplished Software Architect, was born on December 15, 1969, in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

He graduated from Kinnelon High School in 1988 after focusing his studies on engineering. He received his certification in Electronic Engineering Technologies from Metropolitan Technical Institute in 1991.

CAREER:
In 1991 Dave joined the Optimus Corporation which later became known as CardXpress Vending Inc. Dave was responsible for the assembly, maintenance and upgraded engineering of the first self service business card printing machines found in the U.S. Dave's skills soon made him an integral part of CardXpress which later introduced one of the first non-chemical digital photo booths. Following the success of these machines engineered completely in house, Dave was promoted to Vice President of Manufacturing overseeing the manufacture, distribution and maintenance of the vending equipment.

In 1998 Dave felt a career change was in order. Following his desire to have a diverse and creative career he soon found himself developing custom software and websites after the recent launch of the public internet. Over the next six years, Dave would turn his skills into a successful career and also pursue his desire to be his own boss by starting GRS Technologies Inc. Among GRS Technologies clients were major league sports teams, trucking and transportation clients as well as security firms.

In 2004 Dave took a chance on an opportunity which would put his skills in web portal development to the test. Having already established himself as a Microsoft Technologist and successful portal developer, the upcoming project seemed like a easy project. Within a few weeks of starting this project he found himself with an opportunity to become part of a corporate purchase by the IBM Corporation.

In 2011 Dave Left IBM after 6+ years to pursue new opportunities and passions with hardware and software development and founded ScareTronix LLC a company to build both Paranormal Research Tools and Halloween and Haunted Attraction electronics.

HOBBIES:
In 2007 Dave founded the NJ Charger Group, a car club to answer the call of the many new Dodge Charger owners following Chrysler's re-release of the Dodge Charger 40 years after its original inception.

In the years to follow Dave grew the NJ Charger Group to entertain a larger community of muscle car enthusiasts by changing the name to the NJ Mopar Group and creating a national parent non-profit organization called Mopar Muscle Clubs LLC (Mopar Muscle Clubs of America). Dave's passion for charity and especially children's charities combined with his skill and love of muscle cars has made the NJ Mopar Group and MMCoA a well renowned social group, who's mission is to make a difference in this world one car show event at a time.

In December of 2012 Dave resigned as the 6 year President and CTO of the NJ Mopar Group turning the reigns over to the groups leadership. Dave intents to stay on as the CEO of the NJ Mopar Group as long as the group remains actively engaged.

Dave keeps very busy today between a career, hobbies and a very active personal life. He would like to think each day brings a new opportunity to make a difference in this world and that his small contributions will be remembered by many.
