ZigBee based Chicken Coop Door

Ya when I see the humidity creeping up I usually try to vent them more in the winter, in summer time I just leave the window open full. It would be nice to have some type of exhaust fan to turn in the window but that is another project hehe.

So for the external power I plan on using

Will your power wall-wart fit inside this box type?

I haven’t picked a power supply yet but my goal would be to get it into that size of box. That looks like the one I have by my coop. It depends on how much current this new actuator is going to take will no more in the next week or two.

Testing is going well, installed the latest PCB into our live coop last week.

HI John R

Hows the coop boss coming?, got a version 2 hub and have been adding my zigbee and zwave switches to my new network.

See CoopBoss.com for the latest information. Basically its done. The hardware is done and testing is complete. The custom device type is done and I have submitted it to SmartThings for certification. The certification process can take a long time and in the interim I’m selling pre-certified versions. Please read and understand the risks of buying a pre-certified version at our store if your interested.

Glad to hear you have a new hub and sounds like your off and running!

The CoopBoss is now certified! You can find it on the SmartThings compatible produces page! You can also find it on your Smart Phone under Marketplace -> Things -> More -> Pet Care
