Z Wave switch association with Fibaro RGBW Controller

I am still pretty new to working with Smartthings so forgive what may be a very basic question. I have searched the forums to try and find an answer to what I am trying to solve but have not been able to.

I installed some RGB light strips behind some recessed crown molding on the ceiling of my bedroom. I have the light switch connected to a Fibaro RGBW controller which is connected to a power supply in the attic. I then have a GE Z-Wave Plus wall switch on the wall that is turns off an on power to an outlet in the attic that the above power supply for the controller is connected to.

What I am wanting to do is to both be able to turn on and control the LED light colors from both using the switch manually and turning it on/off via Google Home or through other routines.

Ideally I wanted to be able to have the LED strips work if I ever sell my house and decide to take my Smartthings Hub with me. From what I have read I believe this would be possible through associations in Z-Wave. Am I understanding how associations work correctly?

I installed both the “codersaur : Fibaro RGBW Controller” and “codersaur : Z-Wave Tweaker” device handlers. I cant figure out what I am supposed to do with the Z-Wave tweaker device handler after I assign it to be used by the switch.

I assume I have to tell either the Fibaro controller or the GE Z-Wave switch to somehow associate/pair themselves together.

Using the Fibaro controller on my Android I can see in the settings where I can enter the Node IDs for 4 different Association Groups. And using the Z-Wave tweaker handler I think I can see where I can edit the preferences to allow an association. Screenshow below of the preferences shown for the GE Z-Wave switch preferences that I am refering to.

I would really appreciate any guidance in getting this to work like I want, if possible. I also have the same kind of setup in my kitchen for cabinet lighting that I want to get to work once I get the bedroom to work.

Thanks in advance.

Model number of the GE switch?

When I look up the switch under My Devices it has the following:

manufacturer: Jasco Products
MSR: 0063-4952-3036

Raw Description: zw:L type:1001 mfr:0063 prod:4952 model:3036 ver:5.20 zwv:4.05 lib:03 cc:5E,56,86,72,5A,85,59,73,25,27,70,2C,2B,7A role:05 ff:8700 ui:8700

I dont have the exact Model Number on hand. I would have to uninstall the switch when I get home to look it up. I was hoping the above info would be enough. I read that the GE switches changed or something like that.

Oops was just about to hit send and see the Model number is in the raw description lol. Model: 3036

I’m not sure where smartthings gets the fill-in for that field, but the model number is actually 14291:

That’s just an on off switch. You don’t get dimming or color control unless you use the double tap feature to activate a scene, and then it’s just going to be one predefined setting.

Talk to the people in the following thread (this is a clickable link) and they should be able to help you figure out exactly what you can set up:
