Z-wave controller mysteriously appeared in IDE

Looked at my setup in IDE for the first time in a while and see that a device named ‘z-wave controller’ has mysteriously appeared. Its type is also ‘z-wave controller’.

Its status shows as ACTIVE and it has a network ID; raw description for the device is zw:S type:0200 mfr:0000 prod:0000 model:0000 ver:0.00 zwv:0.00 lib:00; there is no current state or events showing. No updates since the date it was created. No activity or events recorded.

Safe to delete do you think or should I leave it alone?

Probably, BUT before you do - email support to make sure nothing else funky is going on.

I have had this happen twice. I agree with John’s suggestion.

It’s unlikely you’ll get an explanation for why it happened.

I contacted support, but to be honest, I’ve more faith in answers from the community (from users who have already experienced this).

What device were you trying to connect?

I don’t recall trying to connect anything. All my devices were added during 2017.
