Hi - I did not see this one listed. I purchased it several months ago and it was not available for purchase for quite some time, the name of it has changed since then but the device looks identical, mine was called SoundMate M1 (see amazons 2nd photo).

The Netgear WN3500RP DOES work.

I am having an issue with mine that is likely unrelated to anything with SmartThings. It drops off the network randomly, and thus is not able to provide audio playback when it does this.
I have not found a fix for it.

When it DOES work, it works just fine with SmartThings.

The Pioneer VSX-45 receiver does work.

The events wake it from standby to play - or will interrupt another source to play. There are only two noticeable things that need attentionā€¦

  1. Source will not return to the other source after play. It just stays on the DNLA source.
  2. The start delay needs to be extended for wake-from-standby.

Great work on the Generic Player Device!

Hi @Bobby_Dean, thanks for feedback,

  1. The multiple devices commonly does not have a source selection from DLNA code, that function is just in device remote or buttons, its no possible to switch to some audio source unless the device expose that methods, If yo can share your device dlna services, maybe I could select a source.

1a) Some devices have standby and standby network mode, the first send all device to standby and loose the network listening, the other standby network , turn off the device but the network remains listening, check if you device have this kind of standby.

  1. Its there a delay setting in each device, are you saying that delay is not enough?

Thanks

I was wondering about a speaker called Acoustic Research ARAP50. Its been discontinued so prices are dropping to as low as 40 bucks. It receives airplay which makes me think DNLA accepted. Any Thoughts?

Nope. Manual indicates AirPlay only.

I confirm Sony STR-DN1050 working
