I installed a GE z wave dimmer switch about a week ago and so far it has worked very well. however today, it stopped working from the switch itself. I can control it through smartthings with no problems, but if I try to turn it on or off from the switch itself it is not responsive. any idea what could be the issues?
Bad switch mechanically. Since its only been a week I’d exchange it for another one.

Had a similar issue with one of my GE switches - Worked out fine until I put the cover plate on then nothing…
Turns out the little frame around the paddle switch was not fully seated - the cover plate was pressing the the frame and preventing the switch from fully moving and since it’s the paddle switch the movement isn’t as “full motion” as a normal switch. But once I popped the frame back in place the switch worked fine.
