Will this Xenon switch work on the smarthub

If it is a certified Z wave device it will have an official conformance statement on the Z wave alliance website. So first look up the device there to make sure it really is certified.

Note that Z wave has different frequencies in different regions. A device must exactly match the frequency of your hub, or they will not be able to talk to each other.

The SmartThings hub is sold in two different frequencies, the EU frequency and the US frequency. Once a device has been manufactured, its frequency cannot be changed, so you must make sure they match when you buy them.

Devices listed on Alibaba from Chinese companies often suffer from poor translations of the product descriptions. A Device may be described as Z wave which is actually a different protocol. Ask to see the certifications before you buy.

Someone asked about the Xenon devices based on a similar description about a year ago, but as far as I know no one has ever got them to work with smart things. I don’t think they’re certified, but maybe under another name or in another region.
