I’d like to use a smartthings V2 hub in a home alarm system. I’ll add some light control later. Some of the key features that I want are.
- Door chime whenever a door is opened.
- Alarm Siren when a door is opened and the alarm is armed
- Detection of the garage status.
- Text notification of various events.
Here’s the hardware that I’m looking at.
- Aeon Labs Z-Wave Plus Magnetic Door - Window Recessed Sensor Gen 5
- Aeon Labs ZW080-A17 Z-Wave Gen 5 siren
- SmartThings V2 hub
- Some motion sensor
- Some garage door sensor
- Someway to close the garage door
Is this a good plan? Am I missing something?
