This forum is for people who are using the Samsung smartthings ™ home automation platform, so all of the questions and answers are assumed to be in that context. Everyone is welcome here, but I just wanted to mention that because you might actually get more answers somewhere else.
As far as WiFi garage door control devices that have a SmartThings integration, the most popular is probably Meross. We should note, however, that this is not UL listed under UL 325, and so it lacks the beeping and flashing light warning that UL 325 requires for remote automation of a garage door. You may not personally care about that, but there are some homeowners associations and rental organizations that do require a UL listing for garage door control, so it’s something to be aware of.
Tailwind iq3 Pro is another Wi-Fi garage door opener that has UL certification and has a smartthings integration. It’s not quite as popular because it does cost about $50 more than the Meross, but that may well be worth it to you if you either want those safety features or have to have them because of local requirements.

That’s an excellent device, and very popular, but uses Z wave, not Wi-Fi. It will require that the user have a smartthings/Aeotec hub, and it didn’t sound like the OP does.
