Just recently started playing with ST.
I have the following showing up Android Activity Feed…
What is this weatherDevices? I have no weather devices installed…
Nothing shows up in live logging, but I will try again.
From the times in Activity feed on my phone it appears to be running hourly…
But like I said, I have no weather devices, let alone something called weatherDevices installed.
Other possibilitie:
Is it part of another SmartApp? If so, how do I track it down?
I do NOT CURRENTLY have it installed… I do think I had it installed at one point in time when I was playing around, but I have since wiped my system completely. This is the reason I was perplexed as to what this is…, and until you mentioned SmartWeather Station Tile I completely forgot about that aspect of it.
Having said all of this, and despite the fact that I do NOT have SmartWeather Station Tile installed anymore, it appears it has “survived” somehow… Any idea on how to track down the persistence/survival aspect down of an app after a system wipe???
I attach 3 pics showing what I currently have installed as Smart Apps on my phone (Note 4) and what I have in API “My SmartApps”. So far I have kept things simple as you’ll notice…
My only theory, and this is purely a speculation, is that you are viewing some data that is unsynchronized between different cloud servers. I have witnessed it on a number of occasions. Usually, the data eventually propagates and becomes consistent. There’s nothing one can do about this particular issue.
Thanks Alex. It has been like this for little over a week now…
It is not causing any issues, so maybe I’ll live with it.
Support has bigger issues to deal with.
Alternatively I can always re-install the app…
Targeting you 2 gents because you previously replied, but it is for anybody to please chime in…
I’m back to this topic, because it is still bugging me!
I have noticed this, and WOULD LIKE CONFIRMATION if you guys have this as well:
In the IDE go to My Locations
Scroll down to and click on List Smartapps at the bottom
under the Hello Home section, do you see something called Weather Station?
Is this Weather Station a build-in smart-app in the hub itself? Or is it something I installed?
Assuming built-in, is it responsible for the Live Logging WUSTATION entries like shown above and below??
a3403212-e5d9-48a2-9f2d-bffe00a381e3 3:24:43 PM: debug WUSTATION: event: [name:forecastIcon, value:snow, displayed:false]
If one was to click on the Weather Station link in Hello Home, a window opens showing, amongst other things, Job History. From Job History it ***appears *** that the sole function (at least on mine) is to set the sunrise and sunset times…
But the WUSTATION Live Log entries show much more capability, ie. wind, humidity etc!!!
This leads me to believe Weather Station is not responsible for WUSTATION entries…
@625alex, I think it is also safe to assume that cloud sync issues is no longer responsible for this behaviour as you suggested in an earlier post.
More thoughts anybody?

Do you have one or more Devices of Type “smartweatherStationTile” installed?
Please note I DID have “smartweatherStationTile” installed at one point in time. That was well over 5 weeks ago. In this time it was deleted, and not just deleted, but the hub completely reset!
Thanks

Well… It’s not unusual for SmartThings to have ghosts and poltergeists…
@625alex did suggest something similar, ie. different servers not being updated…
Again, that was weeks ago!
However, I think there is far more to it than this! But I am but a “newbie” at this.
What is a reasonable time?
Also keep in mind I have installed pretty much every device, smart app, own device type I can lay my dirty paws on, and then deleted them again, without incurring similar ghost effects…

Certainly there’s nothing to keep anyone from using the “WUSTATION” prefix in their Debug Log.
Take a look at the code shared in this Topic below and see if that source code matches the events in your log.
Hmmm… Do you have “Severe Weather Alerts” activated in the mobile App (or have you ever tried Severe Weather Alerts)? I frankly forget when I first discovered this (I’m still on Hub V1 and even use App V1 on one of my mobiles)…
Darn… I can’t even find where the heck I saw such an option, but I surely remember it. I’ll look around and update this post if I find it…
Ahhh… It’s called “Severe Weather Solution App” and that’s a clue that it is/was, perhaps, a “Dashboard Solution App”; like many that were pulled when we lost App V1.
Still exists on GitHub (but very old…) … But this one isn’t the one you’re getting log messages from. No WUSTATION log messages.
