If you have a plug device only linked to alexa you can absolutely write a routine thay switches off the plug and then turs it back on on a schedule.

Routine would contain:
Announce confirm
Switch off plug
Wait 25 min
Switch on plug.
Announcs complete (custom voice action)

Triggers would be:
On schedule, time of day (Alexa gained this ability some time around Christmas.)
Or just by voice Alexa, bounce my hub

As to whether its valuable. Not for me to say. But its ABSOLUTELY doable…

This must be awfully new because this was never possible in Alexa before.

I have been using timed waits in Alexa routines to work around SmartThings limitations for at least three months.

I guess you thought I was making things up when I mentioned this in post #13 above.

In this world? I’d say yes.

Amazon is trying to evolve Alexa to be a pretty full-fledged, standalone, competitor in the home automation market.
