Turning old outdoor alert system into zwave devices?

I have an old alert system that uses a motion sensor connected to a radio that sends the alerts to a walky talky. I was wanting to maybe connect to sensor to a zwave reciever instead to get it a part of my smarttthings system. I just don’t know if there is a reciever that has long enough range. Any ideas on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

What distance are you trying to cover?

I would say about 30 yards

30 yards all outdoors clear line of sight or 30 yards including getting the signal through some exterior walls, like 30 yards from inside the garage to a motion sensor at a driveway gate?

And do you just want to replace the existing system with a new motion sensor that reports to smartthings? Or are you still trying to include the walkie-talkie system in the set up?

I have it at the end of my driveway and it has go go through one wall to get to my hub and maybe a bush or two. Mainly want to connect the sensor to a zwave signal sender so I can use the current sensor and housing it comes in. Maybe still use radio just to still use it.

You can use a Z-Wave repeater.
