Turn on the light at the house entrance

Hello everyone and happy new year.
I’m trying to make an automation to turn on the lights when you enter the house.
The lights should only turn on after sunset and only the first time one of the members enters the house.
I have an entrance door opening sensor.
I tried to make an automation that I attach below…

But it doesn’t work… can someone help me?

Three thoughts.

  • Although the terms arrived and left are used, the actual tests being used are for presence sensors being present or not present. That is worth knowing as if two people are at home and one person leaves then the ‘someone arrives’ condition will still be true as It really means ‘someone is at home’. It shouldn’t affect your Routine.
  • If you click the icon next to Ogni volta che arriva qualcuno you get to choose which devices are being used to determine presence. At the top of the page there is an option that you can set so that the Routine runs the first time someone arrives. What this actually does is set an option to only trigger the Routine when the condition changes from false to true. You want to set that option. This is actually a relatively recent addition to this condition. Before it was available users typically used the Location Mode to track changes to occupation. I still do.
  • The Rimane in questo stato per? option needs to be turned off. With it set the Routine will only become true ten minutes after someone first arrives home, by which time you will have closed the door.
