Hi @Jens.H.E
If you’re still having trouble after trying the above troubleshooting steps, please contact the seller you purchased the hub from for further support.
I got my Aeotec/SmartThings Hub V3 connected. This took many hours but these were the steps that worked for me.
- I have a Linksys Velop Router. I logged into the router on my laptop 192.168.1.1. I had previously changed the DNS server to 8.8.8.8 so I changed it back to 0.0.0.0 (default). Located under Connectivity>Local Network.
- I unplugged my router, reset my Fios Modem then after 5 minutes, plugged in the router.
- Because it failed to connect may times before, the Hub ip address was in the device list. Open Parental Controls and select the Hub. Select Always then Add ntp.org, pool.ntp.org and us.pool.ntp.org. You can turn on the block there or on the router home page.
- Reboot Hub: Unplug Ethernet cable and power cable. Depress the reset button and plug in power cord until the Flashing Yellow light turns solid and release the reset button.
- Wait for Hub to flash Red/Green. Open SmartThings App and add device by choosing Partner devices>Aeotec>Smart Home Hub>IM6001-V3P. Select Ethernet, plug in cable then Next.
- Scan QR code.
- When you get Error code 33-504, Turn off Paternal Control. This seemed to start the Download process for me immediately.
- In Router settings, choose Security>Firewall>IPv4 SPI firewall protection> uncheck Enabled. I read that when enabled (default setting) it blocks port 123.
- It downloaded then installed but stalled at 99%. The hub was present in my.smartthings.com but didn’t have the updated firmware yet.
- Close the APP on your phone. Within 10-20 minutes, the light on the Hub eventually turned green and the firmware was fully installed.
