The ST finds the sensor (Wattle) , but it can’t connect. Tried several times, but with the same result.

So this is Zigbee temperature sensor from Wattle? I’m afraid I don’t have any of those. I’d try with different DH’s found in IDE, but you have already done that.
Wattles “smoke detector” works perfect
