Tradfri dimmer disabling ST sensors integration

Hi all, complete newbee here after some advice.

I have my kitchen led strips all running through a Gledopto 5 in 1 led controller. I am running routines using ST motion and multipurpose sensors and Alexa all pretty seamlessly. But I want the ability to manually switch the lights off too so I purchased a Tradfri dimmer switch (the sqaure, two switch 0/1 version).

If I pair it to the ST hub I cant get it to do anything and shows as in standby mode constantly. The only way I can get it to control the lighting is by pairing it whilst holding it next to the Gledopto led controller, which then disables the ST sensors and Alexa’s ability to control the lights.

Am I doing something wrong or do I need a different switch/dimmer?

I had the same issues with ikea dimmers…

I subscribed to this edge driver: Zigbee Button + Groups - Alpha Test

This works with my 13 ikea dimmers.

Thank you. My Tradfri dimmer switch is at least showing as connected now but I’m still struggling to get it to control the lights by following the instructions but i will persevere and keep trying.
