Thermostat advice - presence and motion

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any advice, I am trying to figure out my best & cheapest option for a thermostat that I can program based on presence and motion, I don’t really need any other bells and whistles and I don’t need any learning ability. thx Joel

Honeywell RTH6580WF. paid 70$ on Amazon for it and I am using presence and motion with it. Easy install. Need c wire. I love this thermostat.

ANY cheap zwave thermostat will do it. And you can make it smarter than any (overpriced) Nests or Ecobees…imho

Just do a search on Amazon, zwave Thrermostat…I use (two) Honeywell YTH8320ZW

Is it compatible (RTH6580WF ) with smart things hub 2nd gen ? how easy was set up ?

That’s a very expensive thermostat, you can get a cheap thermostat like a CT-30 and combine with a motion sensor and this app to get a motion based thermostat.

And don’t forget to check your local utility companies for rebates.
