So, let’s face it. ST hub is almost fearing of Zigbee and Z-wave waves. He defends himself against them.

He definitely can’t live in a closet. No.
Don’t try to tame or reform him.
Terms with it.

All my experimental hubs lived in a closet with a router, an electric shield, etc., etc. It was probably difficult for them, but they worked. But not ST hub.

He needs another place.

The problem is that the ST hub does not know how to stand or hang on the wall (I tried to hang it in the holder from Apple Airport Express - it does not fit).

But, if you look in the attic… then you can find a holder from an external CD drive or HDD case external. It’s steady. Normal. It’s worth it.

It would be ridiculous, but after installation at the top (on the apex) I received a message from a Samsung TV. He wanted to connect with me. It’s a neighbor’s TV. It’s not an apartment, it’s a neighboring house. About 20 meters. And at least three capital walls. You can laugh

P.S. The way of the samurai: Almond Securifi (The project is closed); Zipabox Zipato (abandoned their customers); VeraPlus Ezlo (Thinks a lot and thinks for a long time); Homey Athom (like ST, but more difficult); Fibaro (It’s expensive!); SmartThings (I’m experiencing).

From this place, in more detail, please.

I thought the general consensus was they have to lay flat? I have a similar problem but flat seems to be the best.

First of all:
“lay flat” is what the creator intended. There is a big difference between a «creator» and a «user».
Secondly:
"general consensus” does not mean a correct opinion.

And finally, thirdly:
It is absolutely necessary to laugh and even more so to criticize my research

As a result, as a “user”, sensors are now working both on the street and in the basement. 10 - 15 meters and 2-3 brick walls

If it works, it works! Now I will try to reorient my hub.

OK!
It won’t get any worse, because it can’t be any worse than it was originally.
Experience is the son of difficult mistakes :))

What’s the USB Stick you have plugged into your ST hub?

> Hello. I have solved all the problems of ST V.2 and Zigbee… I’ve read all about the problem of pairing ST and Zigbee. The most common recommendation is to position the sensor closer. Closer! Closer! There are also useless USB connectors on the ST. I decided to combine these two facts. I bought the cheapest USB Zigbee repeater (ZigBee 3.0 Signal Repeater/Extender) and connected it to a USB ST (Well, much closer!). The repeater was identified as an eWeLink outlet. Voila!!! All. That’s it. Absolutely everything. Even no-name, generic, Zigbee 1.2, Zigbee 3.0 devices are connected. They don’t fall off. They’re working.
