I started moving devices to my new hub about a week before the migration tool became available. Now I can’t use it because I already have devices in two places. In particular I’m having trouble moving my z-wave devices over because I have trouble figuring out how to reset them (what’s the 6-digit programming code for the Schlage lock? What’s the button combination for the Monoprice contact sensor?).
Is there a nuclear option? I would be fine with starting over (30 devices) if I knew they would be ready to be re-added. Or is there a more consistent way of moving z-wave devices?
that should be imprinted on the inside of the cover of the lock or somewhere on the lock when you remove the cover.
google the model #… I bet the set up guide will show in the search results which should have that info.
You also can and may have changed the default programming code, I always do.
If you changed it and don’t recall what it is, you may have to factory reset the lock to get it back to the default programming code.
Not sure which lock you have, but to factory reset mine, I press and hold the logo on the exterior keypad while connecting the battery pack.
Within SmartThings, you will probably have to do a Z-Wave exclusion to be able to delete any Z-Wave devices:
Hub - Settings - Z-Wave utilities - Z-Wave exclusion.
