No worries. I certainly appreciate the help. So no change in my status. I am able to turn it on with the driver but it auto flicks off in ST app while TV is still on. The status is reflected accurately on the other driver “Lan Device Monitor”.
Yes, the tv is connected to the same subnet as my ST hub. I tried bot wireless and wired connection. There has been some mention of handshake auth but I can’t get that to pop up on my tv. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
Can you find out what firmware level you have on the TV?
Thanks for the firmware version. I wanted to make sure it was Version 4 or later.
Are you able to get the SmartThings CLI installed to a computer on your LAN? I think we’re going to need to run some driver logs to diagnose what is happening.
If you can do that, direct-message me and I can guide you through the process.

im having a slight problem too ,
when the tv ahs been off for a few minutes it goes offline in smartthings some times it shows as off then minutes later goes offline , others it just goes offline minutes after turning the tv off , ive done a logcat ,
any help would br much apreciated .

Thanks for the log - it does look like communication with the TV keeps getting lost. Has anything changed with your network that might be causing an intermittent connection?
Has the TV updated its firmware recently?

Hmm - I wonder if something changed that is causing the problem. I’ll have to do some internet research to see if I can find anything out…

My TV have exactly same software. 04.50.56.
I had the same issue, but I solved it by turning off quickstart+ in settings (General >> Devices >> TV Management >> Quick Start+)

I have the same issue. Jz installed in, working well but went offline after i off the tv

Hi @TAustin ,Update: this is resolved with the adding of the MAC address
However there is an issue with the app showing the TV is intermitten on and off , causing the automation not working per intend
Can i also ask the routine selection under favourite, what is that function? I key in home hub but it did not open the home hub - my intend is to auto open the app when the tv is on etc

I have just found your new driver and it has this behavior
When turning on the tv via the smartthings app the tv icon on app turns on the tv turns on but then the icon turned off although the TV still on. after a few seconds the icons appear as on again.
Sometimes when turning off the tv via the app the icon still remain as on but the tv turns off.
I am connected with wire and put the wired MAC address of the tv.
refresh freq. set to 10

I can see quite many timeout errors when TV is sleeping. It would be nice to have it as warning or even info

thanks for this driver! I was able to add my LG 65 inch C2 seamlessly.
I have added my MAC address and set poll frequency at 30 seconds.
I have an issue where after turning the tv off withe the remote, app status changes to off as expected, but then maybe 10-15 seconds later, turns back to on.(the tv remains off).
the problem with this is that any routines dependent on tv status being on are off are triggered.
occassionally under status i see "Connect retry (:3001), sometimes i see “Registered” too.
would be happy to help debug if given instructions on what you need @TAustin
