Saw my Bond Hub needed a FW update. Will see if that keeps the devices happy. So far so good. Fingers crossed.
Here we are, December 2026, apparently at least four years after the project kicked off, and I stumbled across this thread and driver. First, a huge THANK YOU to @blueyetisoftware for all of the expertise and time that had to have gone into this.
As brief background, I purchased the Bond Bridge to control, among other things, primarily a set of outdoor awnings. The idea was to be able to raise the awnings at night, in case of rain, or high winds and lower them every morning in the warm seasons to reduce solar gain in the house. Of course without internet access the weather stuff won’t work but the key piece was to have a local zwave device at least be able to raise the awnings manually if the internet was down. This driver seems to fill that bill.
I enrolled in the channel, installed the driver, disabled the ST-Bond integration, paired the Bond Bridge and, holy cow, it just worked! No fussing, no rebooting, no debugging, no nothing; it just worked.

Great to hear it worked well for you. I am planning to return to ST this year with new/updated drivers, so stay tuned. 
This driver is great but is just missing a couple items for my usage. For the ceiling fans i have, they have a reversible mode and bond currently gives me a second on/off device for just the reversible control. Can this be added into the ceiling fan lile the light was to control the fan direction. Additionally, is there a way to change the mapping of fan speeds from bond to smartthings. My fan has 6 speeds and in smartthings its only low, medium, high, max. With a mapping of 2,4,5,6. I would prefer 1,3,5,6 but figured there might be a way to have a setting on the device to edit the mapping. Otherwise everything else works great!
Those features are possible. The seasonal direction has been on the roadmap for a bit. The 4 speed issue was previously an issue with the ST interface. I would need to see if they now allow scaling that to 6 speeds without a need for mapping controls.
This is still an issue for me. Bond app shows correct status and so does the smarthings web driver. This local edge driver shows incorrect status though. Any ideas? Ty
Can you send me screenshots of both apps? I’d like to make sure I see your issue because I think it’s right on this end.
Have you been able to follow up on the fan speeds? I see from the production capabilities it looks like there should be infinite speeds possible. Production Capabilities | Developer Documentation | SmartThings. Would love the seasonal direction as well as that would make this driver perfect for me. Do you have the code anywhere on github etc or do you keep it private?

The capability allows for an arbitrary number of levels but the ST app itself was coded to limit it. It’s just a UI issue in the ST app. Drivers can’t change that max, so I ended up scaling down the correct number of control points.
Seasonal switch is on the list if there is enough support. The driver is currently getting a big update for the networking stack before I bring in more features
Hi! new to the chat,
I just followed the instructions:
- Setup devices in the Bond app
- Install Edge Driver
- Bond Bridge into pairing mode
a. Bridge - Power cycle the bridge and wait for the light ring to turn solid blue
Go to the ST app → Add devices → Scan for Nearby Devices
But I cannot see the bridge in the ST app. I rebooted the ST hub; the bond hub and ST app cannot find the bond hub. I have the ST hub connected using ethernet no wireless. any pointers will be welcomed.
Hi !..If I do this, something happens to Bond-Hub ↔ Bond server original setup ?
The cloud integration will be unchanged. You can run them both while you test it out.
