Need to monitor amps/power to an irrigation pump. Had a situation where my irrigation pump (I’m on a lake) needlessly ran for a week while I was away. I’m thinking of setting up a high amp/power alert to operate during times when the pump should not be running (nights, off days).

Thoughts? What is the latest Smart Things compatible amp meter?

How many amps does the pump draw?

It’s on a 220v - 30 amp breaker, but I’ve never measure the current live load. Based on the daily KWH consumption I’m observing, I’m estimating the running amps are around 14.

Start-up amps are probably around 20, but that’s a guess.
