Hello all,

I am experiencing the following issue.

I have installed two Sonoff Elite THR316D controllers in a control cabinet for a swimming pool.

One controller works perfectly with SmartThings and was easy to set up without any issues.

However, the second controller behaves differently. It connects without any problems to the eWeLink app (Sonoff software), and everything functions correctly there. The issue occurs when I try to operate it via SmartThings: as soon as I switch it on, it immediately goes offline.

Both controllers are wired identically. Since the second unit works in eWeLink, it seems to be a connectivity issue rather than a wiring problem.

I have already:

  • Removed and reconnected both devices

  • Rewired the second controller identically to the working one

  • Tested without using the dry contact (same setup as the working unit)

Unfortunately, the issue persists.

Does anyone have suggestions or has experienced something similar?
