Smartthings Technical Support is Completely Worthless (except Brad_ST who deserves a promotion)

Samsung continues to consistently insist that SmartThings is still a very much “open” platform and any well-behaved device handler (especially cloud to cloud) can be approved and published “quickly”. Official “Works With SmartThings” certification will take longer but has extra marketing benefits.

So far, it is not clear how these policies for DHs will be applied to SmartApps - but there’s a presumption it will be similar.

I have been a ST user for years.

Support or the lack of… has finally pushed me into exploring other platforms.

A ticket from Nov 2016 is still unresolved!

I will probably still use ST but more of a side integration vs main hub.
